This H2S certification course prepares workers to recognize, avoid, and respond to hydrogen sulfide hazards commonly found in the oil and gas industry. This training meets industry standards and equips personnel with the knowledge and skills needed to work safely in H2S-prone environment. This course provides a 1 year certification. This course includes: 

• Understand the properties, characteristics, and dangers of hydrogen sulfide, including its physical and chemical properties, health effects and odor.

• Identify potential sources and conditions that may lead to H2S exposure in the workplace.

• Learn the proper use and limitations of personal protective equipment (PPE) for H2S protection, with emphasis on types of respirators and the significance of medical evaluations and respirator fit testing.

• Develop skills in using detection and monitoring equipment to identify H2S hazards, including personal, portable, and fixed monitors and detectors.

• Familiarize participants with contingency and emergency action plans (EPA), emergency response procedures, including evacuation plans and first aid measures.

• Understand regulatory requirements related to H2S exposure and safety practices.

• Students will complete this course and have the confidence to work in potentially hazardous H2S environments

• Study rescue, first aid techniques, and post exposure evaluation.

Respiratory Protection Training equips workers with the knowledge and hands-on skills needed to safely use respiratory equipment in oil and gas environments. This course aligns with OSHA requirements and focuses on practical field application, ensuring your team knows how to select, use, and maintain the right protection for hazardous atmospheres. This course includes: 

  •    Understanding Respiratory Hazards: Participants will learn to identify different types of respiratory hazards, including airborne contaminants, gases, vapors, and dust, and their potential health effects.

    •    Regulatory Requirements: The course covers relevant regulations and standards, such as OSHA and ANSI guidelines, ensuring compliance in the workplace.

    •    Types of Respirators: An overview of various types of Respiratory Protection devices, including N95 masks, half-mask and full-face respirators, and powered air-purifying respirators (PAPRs).

    •    Selection Criteria: Guidance on how to select the appropriate respirator based on specific hazards, fit testing, and individual user needs.

    •    Proper Use and Maintenance: Best practices for donning and doffing respirators, as well as maintenance and storage procedures to ensure effectiveness and longevity.

    •    Practical Exercises: Hands-on demonstrations and practice sessions to reinforce learning and ensure participants are confident in using respiratory protection equipment.

Fire protection and beginner fire training courses introduces workers to the fundamentals of fire behavior, prevention, and safe response on oil and gas locations. This course is designed for new personnel or anyone needing a solid foundation in fire safety before advancing to higher-level certifications. This course provides a 1 year certification. This course includes: 

• Hazards of beginning-stage firefighting, including recognition and safe response
• Principles and proper use of portable fire extinguishers
• Importance of fire prevention to reduce risk on site 
• Understanding “incipient stage fires” as defined by OSHA CFR 1910.155(c)(26): fires in the initial stage that can be controlled or extinguished using portable fire extinguishers, Class II standpipe, or small hose systems without protective clothing or breathing apparatus
